Default Code PO300 Solved

I had a PO300 code that I was trouble shooting. Cleaned the intake, checked the fuel pressure, strong and steady. Finally figured out that it was the computer, replaced that and my random misfire and code 300 was gone. Hopefully this might help someone else solve their problem. 2004 Ram 2500 Hemi

What did it cost to replace the computer in August 2023 USD?
Did you have to send yours in and get the same one back 'repaired'
Did you have to do anything to make it all work or was it plug and play?

Another question, can you identify or do you suspect that something happened that caused this computer to go bad on you?
Voltage spike (like you were giving someone a jump start and they connected the wires backwards)?
OR a deep puddle during storm of the century... anything that you can think of?

Absolutely great that you gave this report and cure, thank you Harsens
