When I set the cruise control at 45 to 85mph, it will do good on flat ground and uphill. But when there is a downhill it will surge. If I step on the peddle and push it down a little, it will stop surging. Has anyone else had this problem?

 

Does it maintain the correct speed? Is it just the engine RPM going up and down?

 

my Truck started do the same thing after i changed the rear end gears to 4.10's

 

Engine RPM is steady. It acts like what the old cars did when you start driving only more jurkey. It does keep the same speed on the road.

 

I just learned to live with it. its not a big deal.
