Default AWD To 4x4 Conversion Questions
Got a good deal on a awd 04 ram and was wondering if swapping it to a regular 4x4 was as simple as swapping over a transfer case and driveshafts from a regular 4x4 and ditching the centre diff the awd uses

Does it have a 2 hi setting? If so, just leave it. Or, if you live someplace where you actually get winter, AWD is WONDERFUL in winter. It really doesn't change fuel economy overmuch.

Mine is an AWD and I have driven it in the snow only once, but I was happy to not had think about anything, just left it in AWD and it had really good traction.
