So I took my transmission out myself and took it to a transmission guy along with a master rebuild kit to have it rebuilt. When I took it to him I only had 1st thru 3rd gear and reverse. Got it back and installed it along with a new torque converter and and now there is no reverse so I took my truck to him and He's talking about upgrading this and that which he thinks I know nothing about transmissions but he don't need to be upgrading nothing cause bottom line is reverse has nothing to do with anything electrical and is direct drive and uses same clutch packs as 1st thru 3rd gear and if the reverse worked just fine when I took it to him then it should work now. He originally said that it was my fault because I didn't transfer some non existent oring off my old torque converter onto the new one when I installed it but now he has it all torn back apart and says that wasn't the problem. He is trying to charge me 400 more bucks if not more to fix it. Is he in the wrong? Everything I've read says if it had reverse when I took it to him it should have it now. I already paid the guy to rebuild it and now have been without my truck for over a week. I've stabbed quite a few tranny's into cars but never a diesel truck so idk but pretty sure it's relatively the same setup. Am I wrong?
