Dead Battery
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 reg cab with 5.7l Hemi and my battery keeps going dead. History I hade to replace dash gauge cluster from a Junkyard model due to the dash lights on original went out, I have just replaced the headlight switch with a new one from rock auto, the battery is only 5 months old and when i charge it up everything seems fine but after sitting a couple days the battery goes dead. when I open the door it is trying to give the headlight on sound but they are off and when I try to start my headlight seem to flash on but the switch is off. Any troubleshooting Ideas
First: don't let the battery discharge too often, will kill it in no time again.
Then try to find the circuit discharging the battery. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube, they are way better in showing and describing what to do. So try it out and give us a feedback so we can think further.

Don't overlook the possibility of a bad ignition switch. My '05 could be playing the radio and anything else I left switched on several occasions with the key out overnight, depleting the battery. Open the door and the key in chime would start ringing no key in the switch.
A new switch was the fix.
