I have a 04 dodge ram 1500 and it's 2 wheel drive I'm trying again to get it to pass smog buy it has 2 more codes one of them is P0463. Oriellys did a print out for me but idk how to tell what it means but it says "fuel level sensor circuit high input." They told me to replace the fuel pump but I just replaced it in like February of 2023. And my fuel Guage hasn't worked in like a year and a half so idk if that could be what the code means but I would hate to pay another 200$ and fight with pulling the fuel tank again to have that not be the problem. Any words of advice? This is from oriellys
Have a scanner that can read live data??? (you really need on if you want to work on the newer stuff.....) See what voltage the sensor is getting. (can also test with a volt meter, at the tank.) Should be 5 volts....

where do i put the volt meter and I'm assuming do it with the car running
Ignition on, engine doesn't have to be running, red lead goes to the power feed wire at the sensor, I don't have wiring diagrams handy... so, not sure which one, black lead goes to negative battery terminal. Put the range on 20 volts DC.
