Default Electrical issue-truck dying

Hello. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 quad can, with the Hemi. Bought this baby brand new and I love it, usually. This week, it died, out of the blue. When I tried starting it back up, I had nothing. I pressed the brake, which is not usually required, and it started. Then died. I noticed that when I pressed the brake, the radio went out and it started. Let off the brake, dead. A friend suggested trying to drive it while pressing the brake. It worked and I was able to limp it home. Cleaned battery terminals and thought it would be good to go. Next day, she gets the kids to school and it dies on the way home. It died in front of repair shop. The owner came out and somehow got it going again. I put new terminal posts on, due to corrosion, and thought I was good to go. Drove it and it died within 2 miles. Got home riding the brake. Drove it around next day and had no problem. Any ideas? I don't trust it enough to send wife out and about but have no idea what to do next.
Thanks for the long read.

Sounds like you lost a ground somewhere and the brake switch is providing the necessary ground path.

I'm thinking the same thing.
