Interior Lights and Door Open Indicator Stay On
I am having an with my 2008 Ram 1500 Quad Cab that just popped up recently.
A few days ago, while driving down the highway, my interior lights came on, as well as the "DOOR" indicator and the chime that sounds when you open the door while the truck is running. I pulled over and double-checked that all doors were closed, which they were.
Now, the interior lights and the "DOOR" indicator stay on while the truck is running, along with the door chime sounding every so often. Obviously, this is really annoying, especially when driving at night.
I have inspected all off the wiring going to the doors, as that seems to be a problem from my research, and I have not found any broken wires, and the "boots" that hold the wires going into the doors seems to be intact.
The battery was replaced in July 2018, so it's going on 6 years old. I know that batteries on their way out can sometimes cause odd electrical issues, but the truck starts right up even after sitting a few days in cold temps, so I would hate to replace it if not needed.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and if so, how have you corrected it?
