Default 08 1500 5.7, having 4wd issues, won't shift and no codes

I bought this truck last June, and at first the 4wd worked with no issues. However, when it started snowing, the 4wd would not engage, and the 4wd auto light was on constantly and would not shift to anything else no matter what. I brought it to a local shop, and they replaced the transfer case motor, which fixed the problem. I should also mention that this first time also lit up the serv 4wd light on the dash, and there was a code for the transfer case motor.

After the motor was replaced, the 4wd worked better than ever, and the code never came back, no serv 4wd light since. But about a month after the transfer case motor was replaced, it suddenly stopped shifting into 4wd again. This time it didn't get stuck in 4wd auto, and instead will flash the selected mode on the dash for a solid 20 seconds before the light just goes out. My first thought was the transfer case was too cold, as it was -10c at that time, and in this region it can be -20 this time of year, so I attempted to use a torch to carefully heat the transfer case, with no luck. I could hear the motor constantly running and trying to shift the truck, but eventually it would just stop. It's been a few days and I am not sure where I should be looking. Any help appreciated

Any warranty left on the motor?? Sounds like it may have failed.

I'll have to check on that, but I do hear it trying to engage, so that leads me to think it's ok, I think the front actuator went, but I'm not sure

And this is why I like having that stick on the floor.
