Default 2008 5500 AISIN - Range Sensor / NSS

Have a 2008 5500 6.7 w AISIN transmission. Have previously gotten codes P0706 / P0708 and limp mode, issue has been intermittent and gone away once truck was shut off... I am now getting a no crank issue, key ahead either P or N selected but no crank. All lights and other functions work. I'm lead to believe its the Neutral safety switch, but dealer is a week at least out on parts and nobody else stocks. This is a plow truck we need to get going in the next couple of days for a storm. Is there a way to bypass the NSS to start the truck in the meantime? I don't care if I have to leave the truck running afterwards until we are finished.

Make SURE it is in park, ignition on, and just short the terminals at the starter motor.....

I've tried that and nothing from the starter. It has been starting fine in neutral up until yesterday now nothing.

No crank from the key, crossing out starter yields same result. Does not crank.

Bad starter??? If you are hitting the correct terminals.... (usually, there are only two, main power feed, and the trigger wire for the solenoid...) and it doesn't do anything, there is definitely something amiss there.

Have someone else hit the key, and see if you are actually getting power on the starter trigger wire. If you are, bad starter.
