You might be right...I'm happy not to have to tow the truck to its Tuesday appointment but I will likely still keep the appointment to have them look at the lower ball joint as well as this. I try to be diligent in following up on a post so I'll follow up on this after that appointment. Thanks!

In conclusion...I did clean up the terminals with some rosin paper and addressed any wiring that looked the least bit questionable as well as replace the TIPM. The truck started right up and ran well. Curious as to the problem, I took out the replacement TIPM and reinstalled the old one and it wouldn't start. Took it out, reinstalled the replacement and it started right up. It has been running fine now for about week. Amen to that! Thanks to everyone for their help!

Probably the corroded circuit board issue or corroded posts/ harness connectors on the bottom of that board. You could crack open the one that isn't working and identify exactly what the problem is, pretty easy to do. Might be able to repair it and set it aside for future use. Rust belt tends to cause lots of corrosion related electrical problems.

Thank you for the reply...I was going to keep it for the fuses but I didn't think of repairing it. Having 4 teenagers and a parent with dementia it might take me a while but hopefully I get to it before I need it!
