Never see the transmission shift like this
I own a 2006 ram 1500, 4.7 2wd. got a great deal on it back in february, or at least I thought it was a great deal been nothing but a headache ever since. Now I've looked all over the internet, and joined a couple Facebook groups that deal with Dodge Rams trying to find an answer to why my transmission might be shifting like this but everything leads me to people saying that's just how they shift, they shift weird, etc. I just can't see this being the case. In overdrive mode it shifts three times 32 mph and when it hits about 32 the RPM drops way off and it feels like the vehicle has went into overdrive, or does some kind of converter lockup thing I read about.. engine really struggles once that shift happens and I can either ride it out until it builds up speed or punch it a little to where it kicks in the passing gear.. with overdrive off mode and a towing mode it shifts twice and that's it. Took a couple videos today and posting them on here see what others think and what the problem might be. Sorry for the noise I had the window down

Sounds normal.
1st 3.00:1.
2nd 1.67:1.
2nd Prime 1.50:1 (Only used when a kickdown acceleration)
3rd 1.00:1.
4th 0.75:1.
5th 0.67:1 (545RFE only and 45RFE reprogrammed)
Reverse 3.00:1.
The 545RFE is basically terrible and the factory programming tries really aggressively to get it into the highest gear possible as fast as possible. This often makes it feel boggy, and encourages a lot of downshifting when you need the throttle to do anything at all. It feels even worse when it hits 4th or 5th and goes into lockup. Being a 2006, you should be able to benefit a great deal from a handheld tuner and some canned transmission shift point tuning.
