Hi I have a 2006 ram 1500 4.7 magnum with an auto transmission. The only things I’ve done to the truck was replaced the water pump, fuel pump and fuel tank within the last year and a half. The truck sat for the past year due to needing a fuel tank. I finally got the truck running today and now my oil pump isn’t functioning. I am heavily considering purchasing a complete engine overhaul kit and I would like some recommendations. Thank you in advance.

 

Does the engine rattle to beat the band at idle? If not, I would put a mechanical gauge on it, and see if you really do have zero oil pressure.
