Default 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 4.7 L 4x4. Has power yet no crank no start.

Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum i’m looking for advice and solutions for my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 4.7 L 4x4 with 180,000 Miles.
The mystery problem; Began In January of this year as normal i returned home from work and turned off the truck the following day i head outside unlocking the truck using the key fob got inside and tried to start the truck but it didn’t start. I have cluster power and power throughout the truck however the power cuts off when attempting to crank, stop cranking and the power comes back. No engine light, no crank, nothing.
  • All fuses were checked and none were blown.
  • Both negative and positive battery terminals were cleaned, All ground locations were checked and cleaned.
  • Ignition switch replaced.
  • Battery was replaced on both the truck and key fob.
Nothing worked, I ended finding out the starter solenoid wire wasn't’ getting power when during cranking unsure what the issue was and needing my truck up and running I bought a push button and wired it to the battery and starter solenoid and have been able to start it when the cycle is in the “on position “ Any advice? Solutions?

I thought the same however found conflicting information about its location bring external or being internal. The Truck don't start in any gear nor is there a check engine light.

Wow, what a COMPLICATED circuit..... Seems the PCM pays attention to several 'sensors' to enable the starter, including the hood ajar switch...... I would expect if it was something like that though, there would be a notification on the dash.....

Range sensor looks to be part of the solenoid pack.... unsure if that is external to the trans though. Does the PRNDL work properly? I would also wonder if the starter relay in the TIPM was one you can replace? Or is it a permanent part of the TIPM, like the fuel pump relay......

I said the same thing too when I saw what’s involved with just starting the dam truck. The information i’ve gathered about the range sensor is conflting as various sources say it’s external yet other say internal. It shifts fine no issues, the TIPM doesn't have any serviceable relays just fuses which were are checked.
I’ve been stumped since January, reasoning I did the push button

Testing the circuit would likely be an extraordinary affair as well.... since the relays aren't socketed, you would need access to the pins, which are likely on the back side of the circuit board.... thus, rather fun to get to. Would be interesting to swap the TIPM, to see if it solves the problem, but, that's a rather expensive experiment.....

I’ve taken out the TIPM of course after disconnecting the battery first after inspecting it I didn't see any visible issues. Your correct about it being expensive after researching them I concluded there’s rebuilt, New, and savaged..which I thought about going down to the local pick-n-pull to see if I could find one. As of now i’m leaning towards CircuitBoardMedics because i’ve used them in the past and had a great experience and no issues after that however it’s gonna cost $580.

And no guarantee that's the problem.... I might be tempted to invest a bit in diagnosis at the dealer.... See what they have to say.
