2006 2500 Dodge 5.9L-- why is my passenger battery charging at an insane 18+v????i
WELL I GUESS The title says it all.One passenger side battery has already exploded and I get the feeling ots going to happen again if not corrected. So what would upur diagnosis be?The drivers side battery charges at 12.8v peaking at 13.3 perfect.. now go over to the passenger side battery and I get an insane 18+ volts..
What is going on here? Is this an alternator issue or something else?
Thanks for your time iy is appreciated
Gotta be something in there somewhere between the batteries then, to account for the difference in voltage. What is output from the alternator itself? (Measured AT the alternator.)
I believe I have read about this issue before, and there was a faulty crossover cable between the two batteries. I believe this crossover cable runs across rad support
