Default Brakes release after stopping

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 4wd. The brakes stop the vehicle, but as I sit with the brakes applied they start to release. I replaced the master cylinder, bled the brakes and it is still happening. There were two master cylinder options 2wheel ABS and 4wheel ABS. I purchased the 4wheel ABS and I think my truck requires the 2wheel. Will the 4wheel ABS option work on the 2wheel ABS?

Don't know what the differences are between them.... so, can't say for sure whether they are interchangeable....

Is the pedal firm under your foot? Does it slowly sink to the floor while you are a stop?

Moving this to Third gen ram section for ya. Welcome to DF!

Sorry about posting on the wrong forum.

Yes. It slowly sinks while stopped. If I release and reapply it firms up.

You posted in the right spot. After all, it was your first post, where else would it go? I moved it here for ya though, as this is where you'll get the most help.

If the pedal slowly sinks, you are bleeding off pressure somewhere, trouble is, could be anywhere, and if you aren't seeing fluid hit the ground, its gonna be fun to find. Can you verify if you have two or four wheel ABS??
