2002 dodge ram 1500 v6

I have a ram 3rd gen it has a 3.7L v6 motor but I’m wanting to put a v8 in it I was thinking the 5.9L is that the right choice?

Think it would be easier simply due to the electronics to do a 4.7, or 5.7......

At this point with the age of these trucks, agreed. Much easier to do and you get exactly what you want with not many headaches included.
