How much hp do you think i have?
ok so 240 rwhp/ 280 rwt that still a lot of hp to the pavement, really do you think that much hp is lost through the drivetrain? not likely! now do you think that a titan can put up the same #'s?

This is why I would like to see a stock dyno sheet, would stop all the BS. Some dyno sheets will also list altitude, temp and humidity, which will affect the numbers.

Actually judging by the stock runs I've seen posted on these forums it sound like the Titan guys are closer to being right. Most of the ones I've seen are low to mid 250s for hp.

Go to the Titan forum and ask them how our Hemi's dyno. According to them, its 240 hp and 280 lbs/ torque. The feeble mind of import buyers
There are some dyno charts online for different part manufacturers showing stock runs vs add ons. I've seen a couple showing 280 hp and 301 lbs/torque, stock. I'm sure a different dyno and a different day would alter those numbers slightly, but thats probably pretty accurate.
I posted "Nissan Titan Secret Shopper" and on page 1 I linked to several stock dyno runs.

why does the top dyno show 284 lb/tq and the bottom one shows 384lb/tq (where did you pick up 100lb/tq at the wheels from)????
and the superchips gave you 17rwhp??? thats like adding 30-35hp at the crank!!!!

ok the bottom one only showes 319 lb/tq ok look closer
here is the breakdown
with hedders CAI flowmaster i have 280.1 rwhp and 303 ftlb/tq
with hedders CAI flowmaster and the programer it is 297.0 rwhp and 319 ftlb/tq

Well, I don't believe for ONE SECOND a Hemi dynos at 240 hp and 280 lbs/torque. That is just what I've heard Titan owners say about our truck. I think the dynos posted later in this thread are accurate for a STOCK Hemi - 280 hp 301 lbs/ torque. We don't lose 100 hp and 100 lbs of torque through the drivetrain - even though Titan owners want you to think that.
I've seen Titans dyno in the 245-255 hp range and 300 - 305 torque range. But again, if you talk to a Titan owner, they will push those numbers up higher.

so my rwhp is at 297. what would you say my base hp is 375? 380? and what other (less than $1000) bolt on's can i do to get more hp?
all i want to do is smoke all truck at the stop lights ( not ford lightning srt 10 i know it will not happen) and still be able to drive 100 miles everyday.

After thinking about how to get a few more ponies from your truck, I thought of 2 things that I've seen very few people do, and something I plan on doing in the future. First, there is a company that makes an underdrive pulley for the hemi. and Second, I plan on removing the mechanical fan from the front of the engine, and replacing it with an electric one. I think the fan alone would help quite a bit. And it would also make the engine sound a little smoother, and give ya a little better fuel economy if your not too much of a lead foot.... Those are some things I came up with. Next you have to think about putting the power to the pavement i.e. aero-dynamics, and rolling resistance. If yo have the 20" wheels, I bet that will hurt a little bit in acceleration. and the aero-dynamics could help ya if you had a tonneau cover. I know most guys have covers, but you get my drift. Thats my 2 cents.
covers wont make a difference with stoplight racing or in town driving at all.
everyone seems to forget that the trucks are already made to compensate for the parachute effect. Why else do you think the SRT-10 was able to claim a top speed record without a cover???
people have done MANY tests on the tonneau cover aspect....everyone agreed that the cover helps for about 1 mpg at 60-70mph on the highway.
at stoplight racing like he is talking about....0-70mph....the aerodynamics wont matter that much.

I had my Hemi done last June. I added a set of Duals tuned. and an Air Force one air intake. When the guy put it on the truck he made sure it was in the tow gear and not in overdrive. They said the engine would rate better this way. It cost me $75.00 for two runs. Both came out with 390 hp at the engine. That's with a tank of 87 octane. The operater said that was the best test he's ever done on a 5.7 Hemi.Think it makes a differance that the truck is a ThunderRoad.
