Default Interior rust?

Hey, anybody here notice any rust on their seat frames and rails and inside their center consoles? I have surface rust forming and not really sure why? Do they not anodize their metal interiors? Any ideas for fixing it? The dealer says that even if they order new ones they'll come with surface rust?

I was thinking about maybe taking the ram somewhere and getting the frame taken out, sand blasted, then treated. Think its worth it? I'm a lil OCD when it comes to my "son".

Unpainted metal that has no coating or protection from the air will get surfave rust very quickly. As fast as 48 hours I have seen, some say faster. Best way is to paint it. But, its a little surface rust and isn't really going to hurt anything structurally.

That's why I haven't bothered with it.

My 03 2500 has the entire driver side seat frame covered in surface rust......43k miles. Passenger side not so much.....I suspect that it has alot to do with the generous amounts of rock salt that MI uses. Especially when my Aftermarket floor mats are permanently stained white.
