Hello all just bought my truck alittle over a month ago and just had to take it back b/c the clear coat was peeling off the front bumper and trim. Got it back today and noticed it looks like the truck is covered in very small dots of rust. The dealer said its rail dust and they are going to use the clay bar system to clean it up. Has anybody else had this problem, i dont want this truck to rust out on me again in a year or so and it not be covered for some dumb reason.

 

Keep it documented that you had this problem. Be sure they spell it out on the repair order. If it is indeed just rail dust, a clay and wax will take care of the paint.
