Just wondering if anyone knows what the governor is on an 02 1500 QC 5.9L? I've hit 100mph, and nothing. Does it even have one?

I too have the 02 quad cap with the 5.9. My engine kicks out around 108 to 109. Yours should also do the same. It is a good thing to have this so I would not recommend any one trying to over ride the governer. It is there to protect you and your engine, although I have seen my engine kick out on a regular basis. Love to go fast!!!!!!!!!!

 

yeah my buddy has a 5.9 and his kicks at 107mph.

 

Mine kicks in around 108, but man it gets there in a hurry. I really wish it didn't pull the timing like it did. Oh well, with all the sue happy people running around....

I do wonder what the actual drag limited speed would be. Not that I need or want to go that fast, just curious. Nothing like a big, huge brick running down the road at 120+LOL!!
