I own a 2005 dodge ram daytona 09808 4x4 slt silver quad cab, I know what ya mean by the drone sound, but Im up to 15,000 miles. It really isn't too bad. I think it is just the harmonics of the exhaust. I plan on doing aftermarket exhaust anyway.

I figured I'd bring this one back to life since I have about 35,000 miles on this exhaust system, it definitely got better over time, I either got used to the drone or it dissipated somewhat with some serious muffler burn in time. I haven't had the guts to put a CAI back on but I'm glad I stuck it out with the exhaust.

I removed my borla for a 14" magnaflow and sounds much better with no drone at all.

Magnaflow does make a sweet muffler. The Jeep I mentioned in one my ancient posts in this thread gave me such terrible drone with a Flowmaster 50, I ended up switching to an oversized Magnaflow and it was much better.
