Default XM Radio controller location

Hi guys. I just picked up an 04 quad cab 4x4 Ram 1500 and going to have my XM Commander removed from my previous truck, then installed in the Ram. Does anyone have a good idea for locating the controller? There doesnt seem to be a flat spot on the dash that would work. Thanks for any input.

My stock radio deck was compatable with XM. Just take it to an audio shop and have them look at it. It's alot easier than having to mount the receiver somewhere.

5point7 hemi, what did you use to mount your radio there? Can you remove it if you wanted easily?

Sorry I was so slow to respond...

Yes! I can remove it quickly and easily. The back plate that comes with the XM fits almost perfectly in the dash hole, What I did was place a piece of cardboard (about 2 inch x 3 inch) and fold it over and that was all I needed to make it fit in there sungly. I removed the entire center dash piece and drilled an 1 inch hole in the top and routed all my wires through it. The power wire goes through the ashtray and the antenna is on my dashboard, held on by velcro.
