How long do brakes last....I have a 2005 dodge daytona 1500 4*4.....9500 miles on it.....I love the this truck....

 

It depends highly on your driving habbits and if you tow regularly with your truck. I have ready here about people changing at 36k miles and other at nearly 80k miles.

I have 37k miles on my 04 QC 4x2 and am just starting to hear a little brake squeal. I'm not sure it it is dust or the wear sensors hitting the rotor; I've not pulled the tire off to check yet. I tow a 5500# boat around a lot in the summers and boat trailers only have the compression brake assist devices. It puts more wear on your truck brakes because the boat has to push you to activate it's brakes.

Mine lasted about 27K. Got new front brake pads last week.

 

When I brake the truck shakes a little. Is that a sign that the rotors are warped? How hard is it to change pads?
