Another question concerinig tires......
I just purchased my 03 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with factory 20 inch wheels. I used the search function to check out what other members had to say about tire replacement. Here is my question. My truck has Goodyear Eagle LS 275/55R20 on it now. After reading through all the items about tire size am I correct to surmize that the stock size is 275/60R20. 60 ratio instead of a 55 ratio? Did some of the 03's come out with the Goodyear Eagle LS in my size or has my tires been replaced? I would like a little taller tire (Goodyear Wrangler HP 275/60R20). I will most likley stick with Goodyear because my brother in law works for the Goodyear proving grounds and I can get a tire discount. So to close......What is the factory size tire for the 03 Dodge ram 1500 Quad, and what size are most of you running on your trucks? By the way, the placard on the door gives a 17 inch tire size....go figure.....Thanks......
Factory size is 275/60/20. I am looking into getting either falken or Kuhmo truck tires around the range of 275-305/50-60/20. I might go with kuhmo because I have had really good experience with their ecsta 711 for my camaro. I prefer to run a semi tall tire but I want more of a performnace edge.
Kumho's are AWESOME street tires, especially if you dont plan for a lot of offroad or off street driving.
I had 2 sets on my Dakotas and they were great. The only time I ever had any problems was in 15 inches of snow. Since my truck was a 4x2 and it was 15in of snow....I expected that much....
