Default Torque Converter Lock Up

Has anyone noticed when you slow down to take a turn, then smoothly push the gas to get up to speed, that there is no power for awhile?
The rpms hit about 3000 before the power hits the ground again. If I wait at around 2000 rpms It will eventually will lock up. Also if I really step on it, it will instantly lock right up.
Is there a reflash that I can get from the dealer to fix this?

Haven't had that problem yet. If any thing if I stomp on it too hard or too fast the back end swings around with the wheels spinning.

the year is 2005 and Im going about 10 KM/H when I take the turn.
Seems like when Im trying to drive conservatively this happens. when I step on it, it shifts great.

Sounds like there might be a litle confusion about how a torque converter works. The torque convertor "TC" only locks up when your at a cruising speed. As long as you are accelerating, your TC will not lock up. It sounds like your Transmission might be a little slow (for whatever reason). It could be slipping. Check your transmission fluid. Make sure it is hot and at the full mark. It you have not driven at least 20 miles the transmission will not be up to operating temp yet. Also, take notice of the color and smell. I don't know how many miles you have, or what your driving habits are, but it should be pink/red in color. If its not, you may want to have it checked out. Those are my thoughts...

...... Also, don't forget, the 545RFE is a multi-speed transmission, it might bejust trying to find the right gear for the amount of throttle your using. Because it has to deside which 2nd gear to use.

Yeah I think its what motorhead426 said. It does seem like the transmission is trying to find the right gear for the job. I have 36000 Kms on the truck right now.
