Never let your Girl drive your truck
Wow, that sucks dude. Were the scratches caused by the rearend too or were those "oh, I forgot, i hit a pillar" type scratches?
I let my girl drive mine when she came to Texas to visit, but it took alot of convincing on MY part actually. She said if she scratched it, I'd know only by the note, the stack of cash, and that all her stuff was gone. She said she'd feel too guilty to look me in the eyes again. Not sure if that's bad on me or good on her, haha.
Now she wants her own, but an RC. what's with lil girls and big trucks?

Yesterday My Gf had to drive my truck since her car was in the shop. I knew that it was goign to be bad news, she called me when she was on her way to pick me up at work telling me someone hit her in the back. Damage was not too bad just a scratched bumper, but while I'm waiting for the cops to show up I walk around my truck and I see more stuff. My front bumber was all scratched on the sides and on the passager side the bed had some nasty scratches. I asked her about them and she tells me "oh yeah I was going to tell you about those". So one day of her using my truck is costing me almost $2000 bux in body work. the moral to my story is If your girl needs a car for what ever reason RENT HER ONE.

Ya, my wife takes the truck from time to time, but she knows how mad I would get if she messed it up.
She really worked that truck over for having it for one day... I say next time she needs a ride she needs to get out her old bicycle.

Yeah she drives Mini Cooper S.

Holy crap dude. I feel bad for you that it got all beat up but what did you expect? Going from a Mini Cooper to a Ram? It almost sounds like a sit com script. Oh well, such is life. I hope you didn't make her feel bad. She's probably kicking herself pretty hard as it is. Hopefully next time she won't even ask to borrow it.
And not to be sexist or anything but it is a proven scientific fact that as a general rule women's sense of spatial awareness is less acute than men's. This means that it is usually harder for them than men to judge directions, distances, and speeds if there are no clear markers or indicators to go by. So generally men can handle larger vehicles easier (especially when it is hard to judge the locations of the outer edges), can more accurately judge speed, catch or hit a moving object, or maintain a constant bearing in the wilderness. The US Army did studies on this a few year ago.
i hear you, the only one ever driving my truck is gonna be me or my parents, i dont trust anyone with the responsibility of over 8000$+ truck and on top of that i got a story for u, btw im 17 in high school, aight heres story, a bunch of us kids go see a movie right, well we went with a bunch of girls, well i drove this one and she was kinda being stupid the whole time, were getting ready to leave and im over by my friends car when she steals my keys, right now i wouild like to de-leg her with a chainsaw for being an idiot, moving on, she gets in my truck and she is the worst driver ever!, last one on earth who would ever be in the driver seat of my truk, she gets in and starts it and then she puts it in gear, i was hanging on the side on my step rail while we go 30 thru a f'ing parking lot...., anyways long story short i slammed the brake and nabbed the keys just after we drove over one of those parking stopper things, the cement yellow blocks, im like IDIOT the exit is over there why are you doing this to me??, anyways instead of driving her home, i left her there, dont worry one of my friends had his moms suv and took her back..
note to self, keys stay secure in pocket at all times, from now on fight with life to keep them. i knew it was nothing but trouble.,[:@][:@][:@][sm=badidea.gif][sm=chairshot.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif][sm=rant.gif]

Not trying to get all the women of the site to like me or anything, but typically, when you get rear ended, it is not your fault, it is the person behind you tailgating or not paying attention.
My rules are a little different. They can drive the truck or Jeep, but if they want to drive the Viper I have to be with them

I agree getting hit in the back was not her fault, and it made it even better that the Volvo that hit her was driven by another girl. but I'm not going to get into that. Last night I showed her the comments everyone posted and all she said was "well I'm a girl what can i do" and shes right. when I asked her how did the side of my truck got scratched she said, she got out of the garage and turned like she does with her car so you can imagine the nice size of the scratch (i'll post a picture of it). Then the front bumper she said when she went to the mall she didnt know how far in to drive into the parkign space so she hit the wall with the bumper. so what an I goign to do? Shut my mouth, fix my truck and never give her the keys again.
I know your pain. The 1st time I let my now x-wife drive my truck, she got rearended about 3 miles from the house. When she got hit it sent her into the car in front of her. My truck spent a week in the shop getting the front and rearend fixed. To add to it, when she called to tell me about the accident my 1st words were " how's my truck ". That didn't go over real well.
I have to be honest. At first I thought girls who drive trucks were sexy. And there are some who seem pretty badass behind a truck. But honestly, girls shouldnt be driving trucks because I'm sure they don't tow or haul anything. Let alone move a bunch of things like a couch or anything heavy needing the bed. But wow that really blows chunks what happened to your truck. I'd be pissssed. and I'm sure you were. Girls and Trucks are a mismatch combo. Some match, some dont.
