Magnaflow muffler
Hi people. I'm new to this forum and also new to the Dodge Hemi. I've had people tell me about the Magna flow muffler and how good it sounds on these trucks. My problem is that if I'm only changing the muffler, which cannister is it? The small one, approx. 10" by 9" above the rear axle or the larger one approx 27" by 9" in front of the rear wheels. I'm obviously a rookie at this stuff!!! By the way, are the Magnaflow mufflers a lot louder than stock or just a nice rumble under acceleration.
Take a look at the MagnaFlow web site. They have some videos with sound bites so you can judge for yourself.
I'm going to be putting a MagnaFlow 15863 on mine this next week. From what I've read, it has a nice throaty sound when you get on it but is wife friendly while cruising down the highway.

Magnaflow makes a great product, last forever and sounds great. They are not as loud as the flowmasters, but they are deep and they sound aggresive under throttle. Most people buy them b/c they are not supposed to have the drone in the cab. Depending on the budget you have the flowmaster 50 is cheaper than the magnaflow, and it also is supposedly droneless. I personally run the super 40 on my 4.7. It is loud when I first start it up or at WOT, but once the rpm's drop to around 1500 it gets pretty mellow.
Welcome, magnaflow looks nice and does give a wife freindly sound. Costs a little much to me but it makes up for it with a long life I guess. I personally like flowmaster, but I am one of those swingin' bachlor types. just kidding.

I have Magnaflow kit # 15863 and I really like it. It has a very nice rumble under acceleration, and is still noticable on the highway but not annoying. I love the way it sounds. Good quality product as well.
