Did your rotors warp?
What mileage did it happen at? 19500 and just had them turned for $50 at midas. I will call dodge monday and see if the sqeeky wheel can get some greese. Damn Chinese rotors! Dodge is a domestic product? I beg to differ.[:@]
Yes....mine warped at around 20000. Dodge here in Tracy even said its a common problem. Diamler will warranty them for the first 12 months or 12000 miles. Your best bet is to relace them with an after market rotor. I went with the power slots.
I have never had my rotors warp... And I drive harder than most people. I have over 76,000 miles on the same set of rotors. I did have the front left tunred once because... I put the pads on backwards... LOL ... I want paying attention and I did not realize they could even do that... well I went for a test drive... about 15 feet later I knew somthing was wrong but the damage was already done. >>>LOL It was not a highpoint in my wrench twisting experience but it was a learning experience non the less. It cleaned up real nice and I was back in biz... again I have 76,000+ and still counting on the first set of rotors.

The last few years, the Dodge/Chrysler rotors have been being made with cheaper/softer metal. The rotors heat up faster and they have a very bad tendency to warp. They're crap in my opinion. This is a very COMMON occurrence and there are probably a couple dozen posts about this in the last 90 days across the Ram/Dakota/Durango sections for sure. I've owned 2 Dakotas and the very first thing I did was switch those to aftermarket rotors.
Spend the money, get some slotted rotors from Napa or somewhere else and get some ceramic pads. You should be looking at about $300 for all of it tops. Do it yourself and you save alot of money.
The aftermarket rotors are made with better material and last way longer. This isnt an opinion, this is fact. I wouldnt let Dodge put OEM brakes or rotors on my vehicle period. In fact, my last Dakota made it home and was already getting switched.
Good luck man. You may not want to fork out about $300 and you may not want to put them on yourself, but you'd be saving alot of hassle, headaches, and constant trips to the service department.

Knock on wood, I'm at 12K+ miles of constant heavy stop and go driving with no warpage. When they do (not if) warp, I'm gonna replace them with quality aftermarket and Akebono ceramics.
