Default Question about 22" rims

I am debating about getting 20" or 22" SRT-10 wheels for my 04 Quad Cab. I wanted to hear from guys who have 22" inch wheels, if they still have a comfortable ride or not? Thanks in advance for replies.

it depends on the tire size , i have 305/40/22's and they ride pretty good but i would think that the 305/45/22's would ride better they have a bigger side wall.

The biggest question is, are you going to lower the truck or keep it stock height..It you are going to lower it and go with a 2/4 drop then I would go with a 305/40/22, if you go lower then something like a 285/35/22 and if you are going to keep it stock height a 305/45/22 would be perfect...I am running a 305/40/22 and love it, it rides better then my stock 20's and those crappy goodyear tires they come with..

Thanks for the info, I have decided to try 20's with 295/50/20 Falken. If I do not like them I am going to return them and get the 22's with 305/45/22. I get them tomorrow mourning and I am a little excited.

Did you buy them from a local rim shop or did you order them online, and how much did they run you for the 4x rims and tires for the 20" SRT style... and also if you know how much for the 22" (which im thinking about for my 05 flame red QC)

My set of (4) new 20" chrome and falken ziex 04 295/50/20 is costing me $1450. I haggled the guy down and got this good price (going to help him with some mechanic work on his 70's Camaro). I was told 22"s would be about $1900-2050. I think e-bay has a set of 22's for $1099+100 for shipping, seems to be a good deal.

I just purchased a set of aftermarket 20's with those Falken tires!!

Well mine are 245/50/20's

I did NOT like them!!

They do Not grip worth a crap!!
But if ya like doin Burnouts, they're for you!!

As Fate would have it,I hit a Huge PotHole here in Pasadena and Cratored 2 of my New rims!

I said screw it,replaced all 4!!

As soon as it quits rainin here,I'll post some pics of the new tires and rims!

My truck is Not lowered Yet,although I do have Drop spindles on the rear, going to do a 2-4 drop pretty soon!

The tire I went with are Very Wide compared to the originals, they actually Bulge out on the rims!!
Look sweet, very Aggressive looking tread pattern, and if my Ole hits a curb,or pothole, there will be no rim damage!

The tire I am told are made by Yokahama<sp??
they are 285/50R/20"s the side wall brand say's WANLI S-1098

No spining the rear tires with these!!!They even Grip in the wet!!
Cant remember what the name of the new rims are,but will post pics soon as it quits rainin and I get her cleaned back up!
