Hey all i just bought a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Long bed with a 4.7 engine 2wd. when i hit the gas even not hard at all and when stopping i have a popping feeling and sort of a noise coming from what seems to be the rear end(its not the exhaust). just seeing if anyone else has had and similar problems that could direct me what it is?

Also my brakes are warped and was wondering what a good combo was for the discs and pads for it. thanks for your help

 

I am not sure as to the popping sound unless it is an exhaust leak. As for brakes I am looking into Brembo rotors and calipers or I hear Baer are really nice but expensive.

 

[sm=exactly.gif] I am with Silver. I would definitely get new discs instead of resurface though. Drilled and Slotted rotors with Hawk Performance pads if you do not want to shell out the big scratch for a set of Brembos, Although Brembo brakes are kick *** and will improve your stopping power, especially if you are running aftermarket Big rims like 20's or 22's.

 

You want to be careful with drilled and slotted rotors. They can crack easily. I say go with a solid rotor with ceramic pads. You should notice a big difference.
