Question about LED bulbs!!!!
I purchased some LED bulbs (3157) to replace my front turn signals.
I put these lights as my turn signals, but if I put them on one way it causes for one of my halos in my projector lights to light up instead of the turn signal. If I connect it the other way it turns on green automatically and will only turn on white when the turn signals are turned on. Does anyone know why this is happening? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Jorge

If you are using LED, there is little to no resistance at the bulb. Most people experience either a blown fuse or lamp out idiot light on the dash. If you want to use the LED bulbs, there needs to be an inline resistor. I'm not sure what the resistance needs to be, but I do know that you'll have problems with the LED without it.
osteodoc08 is correct. You need a 6 ohm 50 watt resisitor per turn indicator, giving a 2 amp draw, which simulates a regular filament type bulb.

You will also need a specialist flasher unit. the web site above gives an excellent "all about LED's" if you search the site.
A real mine of info.
Hope this helps you?

Green?? I don't understand the reference to green. Does the state you live in allow lights of different colors to show to the front?? In Arizona, lights showing to the front of a vehicle can be from white to amber, and in the rear from amber to red, except for a white license plate light. I stopped a guy one night with a Missouri, I believe, plate with one of those units that imitates the hood lights on the Knight Industries Two Thousand. I advised him they were illegal, and he said they were legal in Missouri. I told him he was not in Missouri, but Arizona. He disconnected it, and I told him not to hook it back up until he was back in Missouri. I would suspect you have some wires crossed.
