06 headlight bulbs DID change. They are H13 I think, anyway, no aftermarket Silverstars or Blues out yet. Fogs are same as 05. They removed all the relays also and made them completely solid state built into the power unit under the hood. So be CAREFULL messing with higher wattage bulbs, that power panel is over $500!

Do you have aftermarket bulbs in yours rob? if so what brand/price/what do you think about them?

Thanks,
-David
Yes I do. I heard a lot of talk on this forum about the Sylvania SilverStars... I went to the store, and when I saw how much the cost I almost shat myself... The SilverStars were $40CAD each... And I replaced all 4 front bulbs (heads and fogs) so it would have been a total cost of $160+Tax... Then I saw the Sylvania CoolBlue bulbs, for less than half the cost... I read the light chart... The Silverstars are rated at 4000K, the CoolBlue is rated for 3700K, and the stock are only rated at 3200K brightness... So, even the Cool Blue bulbs are 500K brighter than stock... And my truck is blue, so I figured I would buy the Cool Blue bulbs... I got all 4 bulbs for less than the cost of 2 SILVERSTARS... They are much brighter, they make driving on the highway look great, and they're not RICER BLUE... You know how these little Honda's drive around and their headlights are like literally BLUE... These "CoolBlue" Sylvania bulbs are not blue, they're just such a brilliant white they almost look blue... You know, kind of how a really nice Diamond looks kind of blue...

The SilverStars are WAY too expensive. I thought about buying them because I can't find the aftermarket bulbs I'm looking for unless I order them. I don't like the blue lights anymore. The bulb color I'm looking for is called "Metal". It's a pure white light. Those Hyper White lights are blue, not white. Metal bulbs would look cool if done with fog and headlights. When I lived in NJ I could have bought them but there's no shops around here Upstate NY like there is in NJ.

Today I bought the Silverstar Bright White bulbs for the headlights and fogs. Definitely better than the stock lights. They are kinda pricey, but I'm happy with them.

Since we're on the topic of Headlights, can anyone advise if changing the headlight on the 05/06 any easier than on the 2002 Ram 1500? I was planning on changing mine, but it was a little more than just unplugging. On the Drivers side, i have to actually remove the fuse box to change it.[:@] You would think that they would make it alot more easier. Needless to say, I decided to wait until the weather got warmer, because it appears that it's going to be at least an hour to change them both.

New TruView(TM) Headlamps from Wagner Lighting Improve Driver Visibility Without Causing Offensive Glare

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The skyrocketing number of complaints about automotive headlamp glare and other driving visibility issues has prompted the development and introduction of TruView(TM) headlamps, which improve a driver's forward visibility without subjecting oncoming drivers to offensive glare.

Created and marketed by the automotive lighting experts at Wagner Lighting Products and Federal-Mogul Corporation, new TruView headlamps are offered in affordable replacement halogen sealed beam and capsule units for millions of passenger vehicles. TruView lamps are now available through leading automotive parts stores and service shops.

TruView headlamps utilize the exclusive SpectraFilter(TM) technology to filter out yellow rays within the lamps' projected color spectrum, resulting in a truer, whiter light that offers exceptional visibility in a full range of nighttime driving conditions. Extensive market testing has shown that TruView headlamps outperform standard halogen lamps in each of 12 key performance categories, including forward driving vision, driver confidence and comfort.

In separate tests, TruView lamps delivered significantly better performance in each of seven glare-related performance categories when compared to more expensive high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps. Testing was conducted on sedans and sport-utility vehicles.

"I liked the whiteness of the light, the lack of glare and how well it illuminated (the roadway)," reported one of the hundreds of consumers to take part in third-party headlamp tests commissioned by Federal-Mogul.

"There was no glare that I could see," reported another participant in the study. "It would make night driving much easier..."

I found some likes from Ebay taking about a company called EURODEZIGNS i have seen their bulbs on Ebay for a while but i have not seen (or asked) about any kind of feedback on them. Here are the links to the Headlights and the Foglights. Do they seem too good to be true?[:-] 8500K with no additional power than stock 3200K, D.O.T legal and only 12.99 with a Lifetime Warrenty(?). well anyways tell me what yall think.

Here is also the Warrentypage for EURODEZIGNS if you wanna look into that as well... it tells about the warrenty (duh!) and that the "blue" lights are NOW in 8500K and the rest (purple, yellow, green, etc) are still in the 6000K

well thats just my .02, hope this helps and send some input if you have these and want to comment on the install/quality of them

Thanks,
-David
