Yesterday morning I starting my truck and it ran like it had a miss and the thunder bolt dash light was flashing. It was -16 C and there was a northeast wind blowing right down the lake on the noise of my truck. I turned the truck off double checked my oil and re started it. After the second start up it ran prefect with no dash lights on. I called the dealer when they opened and was told that super cold days will cause an electric short or malfunction. The fellow that I talked to recently work at a Ford dealer and said that he'd get 6 calls every cold morning on Fords doing the same thing. So I'm thinking everything is fine now?

 

Well i havent encounted that on mine but i have had alot of rough hard starts. i just figure it from the big A$$ engine trying to start

Mine does the same thing. It misses like a diesel once or twice. I always plug it in when its going to be cold out and it never does that anymore.
