Fuel Saving Magnets??
I'm new to the group and I've just purchased a 2006 1500 QC. The finance manager is my wife's cousin at a large dealership here Upstate NY. He was telling me that there is this brand new thing out (I don't know what it's called yet) that supposedly saves gas and improves horsepower. The owner of the company and a few sales people tried it for a few months and said it really works. It's supposed to be some kind of magnets that help the gas and antifreeze flow better. I was supposed to have had it already but the mechanics weren't trained on how to install it yet, so hopefuly I can update you guys on the name and price early this week.
sounds like crap to me too ... everyone knows you can't save gas AND improve horsepower ... those two things just don't go hand in hand ... to make more power you need more fuel ... ask anyone who has modded their vehicle for more power and they'll tell you that the more power they made the worse their mileage got ... i could be wrong but this is the way i have always understood it
I believe either popular mechanics, or popular science did a report on all the supposive "fuel saving" gadgets out there. I remember reading this one did in fact NOT save any fuel, nor offer ANY benefits.
I guess I will play the optimistic. Hope it really does work. (wheeew that was hard) :O)

There otta be a law. Magnets to save fuel and increase power? That snake oil scam has been around for years, and surfaces again and again because people "want to believe".
Sounds like a scam. Magnets that break up molecules to give better atomization in the combustion chamber. That sounds pretty convincing huh? Maybe I should market some fuel saving magnetic device?!!!!
