06 Hemi throttle Lag
If you are talking about the lag between shifts, The engine management system rolles back the engine to reduce the torque to take the stress off of the tranny. This only happens when accellerating slowly. As for when you floor it don't forget it is a drive by wire. there could be some computer lag
I just bought an 06 and i noticed the lag too. Its almost like driving a stick shift it feels like it shifts like your pushing in the clutch almost . Im glad im not the only one that noticed that , cause i was going to take the truck back to the dealer to see what was goin on .
I have what seems to be lag in the HEMI when I floor it but I know its not real because the tires break free (that means I do a burnout) and the RPM will jump. You will really see it when you are in normal drive mode. If you select the tow/haul button its less noticable and if you are trying to burnout then drop to 2nd. Its just the engine throttle management, you may get beat off the line but you will own them down the road.
"You are most likley experiencing the electronic throttle system. It takes some time for pedal sensor to send a signal to the computer then the computer to send a signal to the throttle motor "
It cant be the electronic throttle control, because on a diesel there is almost zero hesitation and they all have electronic throttle control!
