Default New muffler on my ram

Hello everyone,

I have a 2004 Ram 1500 with the Hemi and i am looking into getting a new muffler, i am really thinking about getting the flowmaster 40 series because i heard it sounds really nice yet loud which i like. Just looking to see what you guys think or any other ideas. Thanks.

There are a tons of posts on here you can search for the differences. Personally, I like the 40 Series Flowmaster - but I was looking for sound, not comfort. They are pretty damn loud.

I have a super 40 flowmaster and it sounds great, but it is loud and it is not for everyone. If you like a loud muscle tone, then go with the super 40.

I'm going to go ahead and throw in my two cents. I have the super 40 and I'm looking for something louder. So I guess the question you have to ask yourself is..."How loud do you want it?"

I have the Flow 50 Delta...this is also loud when you get into it but it is very tolerable and rythmic at cruising speeds...here is a clip of it:

I have one super 40 with 3" cat back pipe with single side out like stock. I did not notice any gain in power or loss in power. It is loud on the inside though but its worth it.

..the question is..how loud do you want it "inside" the cab...my friend had the flow 40 with side exit... the American Thunder muscle truck package... he loved the sound for about 2 weeks, than returned it for the 50 HD...the sound in the truck was way too loud to hav a conversation. the sound of the 40 and my 50 wer almost identical outside the cab, but inside mine the sounds wer very tolerant and more quiet at crusing speeds...
