gas gauge

hey all i got a 02 ram 1500 QC LB 4.7L , just asking to see if anyone else has had any problems with the gas gauge..i got a long bed ram and they have 35 gallon tanks on them but when my gauge in the cab says empty or pretty dam near (also gas light is on) when i got to fill it up it only takes usually 25 gallons. its crazy.. if anyone else has had problems let me know or any suggestions! Thanks

I've got the 34 gallon tank and as best as I can tell, my light goes on when I have about 5 gallons left.
