2005 Hemi stalled today
Hi Everyone,
Had an odd thing happen to me today. Wondered what the rest of you thought.
2005 Hemi QC. 26000 miles no mods that I can see (I just bought it).
I was idling along in a parking lot this morning after having driven about 30 miles to work. I went to pull into the parking spot and found I had no power steering. Looked quickly at the tach and realized the engine had quit. Like I said, I had my foot off the gas and was traveling straight ahead. There were NO dash lights on after it quit. No oil pressure warning, no check engine light. Nothing. I hit the starter and it started right up again.
If it were to never happen again I wouldn't worry about it. But what if I had my 5,000 pound boat on? And I was heading down the interstate?
Anyone have any place to start? Ever had anything like this happen?

I had mine stall a couple times around 5K, but always when changing from D to R and it has not happened since. Never had it stall while coasting.
Same thing happened to me,no big deal. There's a TSB on that problem for rough idle /stall,you have to bring it to the dealership and have the computer reflashed.Don't worry it won't stall while driving down the road.
Bulls*** don't worry about it. Has happened to me twice WHILE DRIVING. Once on a residential street, once on a VERY busy highway (anyone living in Toronto will know what the Gardiner Expressway is like). What if it were to die while in the middle of an intersection or a train track???? Gimmee a break, anytime a vehicle dies for no reason is cause for a LOT of concern and we ALL need to complain very loudly to our dealership/service people about it.
Check out the "engine died" posts.

get the computer flash, mine was doing that once every month. Now that I had the dealer flash it for free its perfect.
