2003 auto transmission .....which one do I have?
Hi,
Been trying to find out which auto trans I have in my 03 QC Hemi.
Is it the 45-RFE or 545-RFE transmission?
The reason I ask is that in the owners manual, one trans you check your fluid levels when hot in park, the other in neutral.
There's supposed to be a sticker on the auto box giving a code to identify it, but that's long gone for some reason.
Any help is appreciated.
Al.
Oh btw he has 3.55 gears if that helps.

Ahhhhh.................. a while back I fired off a request to Daimler Chrysler for the build sheet on my truck that they have from the factory.
Just looked at it and found this...............A85P - 5.7L ENG (EZA)/5SPD A/T 5-45RFE(DGQ)
So, it looks like from the owners manual I check the fluids hot in PARK..............
The 46RE/47RE/48RE are checked hot in NEUTRAL.
Apparently it makes a big difference to check it correctly.
