Daytona Rear spoiler vibration
First I'm new to the forum and have been trying to find out some info on the 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi Daytona. The dealer replaced the Tail Spoiler for a Recall in Janurary and since then the new one shakes in the wind above 60mph and above 80mph it induces so much the rearside mirrors shake, along with the bed.. It doesn't matter if the tailgate is up or down??
They now put a second one on it and it is doing the same thing! The worse part is the truck does shift into 5th until over 80mph but it sucks to cruise that fast on the highway because of the shake..
Any Daytona owners out there have the same problem???
Thanks Spider

With a rediculously huge piece of plastic like that bolted to your truck, how can you expect it not to rattle?
That's just me though, I don't have any firsthand experience.
And isn't the speed limit 60MPH? If it doesn't rattle at 60, then do the speed limit.

Gee, Did someone Wake up on the "I'm gonna be an *******" side of the bed today?
Actually I'm pretty sure the wing on the Daytonas are not plastic. I was looking at one before I bought my truck and I thought it was plastic until I tapped on it and it sounded like it was thin metal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I live in Tn. and the speed limit is 70mph on the highway. But even just at 70mph it's shaking. I think Dodge
should of made the tail atleast like the old Super Birds and have it as tall as the roof line, it would look alot better on the side
profile of the truck. But still if the speedo gors to 160mph and I want to drive it over 100mph it should handle it fine!!
$43K and rides like a Neon with a bad tire!! LOL!
It was a Rapid Dealer Recall and most where changed even before the Trucks left the lots.
There was a mold defect in the chasing thet some of the tail had a thick bulge in the middle.. Now before
mine was changed I ran from Tn. to N.J. at 85-90mph and never had any vibration, even opened it up alittle
an ran up to 122mph and it handle great! Now I haven't driven it but short distances or just local because of
this problem..
Oh! the first tail was changed out in Nov. 05, the second one in Jan. I bought the Truck Jun. it's # 8468..

It's difinitely Not Metal, It shakes like Fiberglass or a stiff ABS Plastic. I think it's too thin in the middle
or should be taller, Atleast Roof height like the Super Birds where!
