Default JET Stage 2 question

I have an '05 4.7l magnum QC with no mods except... lol... glass packs for exhaust (not really performance but i like 'em)

and I wa thinking about buying a JET stage 2 performance module.

-it says its specifically for premium octane fuel (i have no problem buying it)
-It is for modded engines (better flow exhaust)
(better airflow)
(and 180 degree thermostat)

my questions are

1 wtf is it talking about when it says my engine needs to be modded to run cooler (180 degree thermostat)
2 do i really need a performance air intake?
3 can i just go ahead and buy the thing now and use it and it be totally safe? (because i have tha truck financed for five years and I need it to bring me through 4 years of college which i haven't started yet. So yea, i won't be needing any blown engines or screw ups...)

of course i realize not all performance modules are as safe/healthy for your vehicle as stock ECU settings, but I'm just saying i need my truck to last, that's all.

nevertheless, i do plan on buying performance air intake, but i'd rather get the JET first because it's getting more hp sooner.

I ave one and im selling it on Ebay. Im planning on geting the hemi so the model i have wont work. I have CAI, dual exhaust but i dont have the 180 degree thermostat. I couldnt find the thermostat for one thing, and also i was told the thermostat wasnt a big problem with the 4.7, It could stay stock. I dont see why you cant go ahead and buy the Jet and hold off on the CAI. I dont think it will make a difference as to which one you get first.

I know Jet is probably cheaper, but i would trust Superchips or Hypertech more.

Don't waste yr money on the Jetchip...i have it..and unless you want to reset your computer every 1000 miles...it will be useless. Just hold off for the Superchips programmer.
