Is this normal?
One of the guys PM'd me for a DTC code on his truck, and after looking through that particular area, it seems that if the computer sees that the brake pedal and accelerator pedal aren't in the right relationship to each other, it will set a code and reduce the available power to something lower than what the driver is asking for. Either way---they got you comin or goin these days.
That happened to someone else on this board, he posted his warranty story. I don't know if it ended up good or bad. Maybe he'll see this or you could search around for it. Hearing his story might help you say the right things at the dealership.
Yup, definately time for new tires...
And are you talking about my story?
It was snowing out and I was pissing around with my father-in-law listening to my new exhaust... Never owned 4WD truck before, I was in 4LO and he told me to step on the brakes and give it a little gas...
So I stepped on the gas and held the brakes... I was only up to like 2000 or 2500rpm, I forget... But yeah, I blowed up the differential and transfer case...
I was able to drive it to the dealership at 6AM and I told them that "It just started making a funny noise while my wife was driving it."
And they fixed everything for free...

Good outcome Rob, I bet you'll never do that again!!
I guess we can look at the bright side BlueHemi, at least it broke in the back instead of the truck making a bad impression as someone on a pogostick.

I talked to the Dealership where I took it to last night and they said that they are going to replace the whole rear end (assuming he ment diff and gears not the axle). Of course everything is being covered under warranty including my rental. He said they talked to corporate about it and they were all scratching their heads as to why it happened, but they were going to fix it under warranty anyways. It should be done in about a week he said. I'd still like to get a hold of that pinion to see what the actual cause of failure was, but I have a feeling I got a snowballs chance in hell of getting that away from them.

Luckily it's still under warranty.

I'm surprised you didn't get an indecent exposure ticket, you should teach your truck to keep it in its pants [sm=joke.gif].
Glad to hear they're covering it.
