That is some torque!

Well as you said it is under warranty, so nothing to be concerned about. First time I have seen this.

that's not a problem at all. Just throw it in 4wd and keep on truckin. The sparks the driveshaft will make it look pretty cool.
Just kidding, i'd be concerned.
But seriously, what aftermarket mods do you have???? Never seen a stock setup do that.

Nope bone stock 25K miles. I'm thinking there was some bending load/fatigue going on and the shear force took care of the rest cause it looks like a pretty clean straight break except for the last little bit.

I tried 4wd, but the pinion gear locked up in the ring gear and pretty much locked up the rear end. The front tires just squeeled a little so I quickly stopped doing that.

Oh well at least now I can say that my engine has more power than my truck can handle.

[sm=nono.gif] I used to work at a dealership as a service writer. The mechanics always looked for a way to make the job customer pay. Just make sure that the rear tires aren't wore down as if you have been brake torqueing it up. That will be they're way out of it being a warranty claim. BIG BUCKS> [sm=boohoo.gif]

It's got the Good for one Year tires on them, don't they come worn down from the factory?

The fronts are just as worn as the rears and I've never rotated them, actually I was going to rotate them last night until that happened becuase I thought my front tires were getting funky. I've actually never done a brake stand, neutral drop, or reverse drop in this truck, that's just plain silly and actually a stupid thing to do. I'll definately keep that thought in the back of my mind about it, either way I'm not paying for this cause if this would've happened on the highway or when my wife and son were in the truck with me worse things could've happened. It's a good thing it happened when I was only doing 20 mph and 200 feet from home.

That doesn't look right,,, I can feel your pain, moving forward, big clunk, sparks, slowing down to a gradual stop, engine reving. What a bi@$%.

Hope you get it fixed soon.
