I've never seen better than 18 on the highway - and that was driving through the desert, on flat ground, with no wind.

rob[GL] States: Too bad the window sticker when you bought it claimed 23... hehe

The sticker said 23? Surely you jest.

I have an '03 Hemi QC and my gas mileage is killing me, i work for an insurance company so i drive a lot and i need better mileage. What can i do? Will a CAI and exhaust system really make that much of a differance? I love my truck, so i wont sell it, please tell me what i can do without breaking the bank. I make 11.8 mpg right now and i cant stand it, the truck is fantastic otherwise and it does everything i want it to without complaining. let me know
take care

Why would I lie about something like that?
Here is a picture of my window sticker, I still have it... I keep it in teh centre console of my truck... As you can clearly see, it says 23MPG highway...

Sorry if I offended you, I was not suggesting that you were not telling the truth, I actually thought you were pulling his leg as I have almost the same truck that he has before his mods except that mine is not a 4-wheel drive. I don't know what ratio rear end that he has but it doesn't seem like he is doing too bad on gas mileage anyway as I am sure you know that the MPG ratings on stickers doesn't mean squat anyway.

The main reason that I was inquisitive about this is that my sticker didn't say anything about 23 MPG, the high figure on it was 17 MPG, so I was just wondering why the difference. What year model and engine is your truck?

Hey Rob, They must do something different with the Canada trucks!LOL.

When I worked for Dodge, even the Dakota with the 4.7L had 15/20 on the sticker. My Hemi came with 13/18 which is pretty close to what I'm getting. IIRC, the 4.7L Ram had 14/19 on the sticker.

I can get 16MPG in the city if I drive like a little old lady, and the highest I ever got on the highway was 24MPG... But more often than not, I sit around 20MPG on the highway.
