Well I see you are very opinionated Hemiman. Like I said, the 20s are flower power kinda like the neons. My opinion again. The only bad thing with the 17s are the tires look waaaaaaaay to tiny for the size of the truck. I don't much care what my wheels look like. If I had the choice and cash, I'd get some black wheels that ain't shiny.

I wouldn't try to go off-roading with the chrome 20's. Actually they're not really chrome at all. I have the "chrome" 20s on my '06 and I was wiping them off...and they are PLASTIC COVERS!!! I talked to a guy I work with and the '05 20s are plastic covers also. You go off-roading with those and more than likely they'll break or get damaged.

The older stock 20's are not really 20's but are a chrome fascia on them. The 17's if you are taking your truck off road.

What do you mean plastic covers??? I have been studing the 2006 Ram sales book and I keep reading... 20" chrome clad wheels and I am trying to figure out what that means.
I thought they were aluminum wheels with the front aluminum chrome plated. You mean to say they are a chrome hubcap?
Whats under the chrome clad?

I know on my 06 Sport SLT that they are plastic covers over aluminum rims. Don't know what the rims look like without the covers. Maybe I just didn't want to know the truth until one of the guys at work discovered it while looking at the truck. I've been planning on running 17's anyway.

17's would be the way to go.

I just checked and for 2006 Dodge does not make a forged wheel in 5 lugs except for the SRT-10. They only make The polished forged wheel in a 8 lug for the 2500/3500.
