I won an Airaid intake off of ebay. The guy listed it as one that would fit an 02-05 Ram. When I got the thing today, it actually is for an 02-03. There is no nipple on the box itself for me to fit the breather hose which my 05 has. Is my best bet to tell the guy to refund my money, or is there any way to get it to work as is?

 

I'd contact him and see what he says first. If he wont refund it, I would try and contact eBaY and let them know you won a fraudulent auction.

I dont know that you can modify it to make it work. You might consider seeing if any of our members would buy it off you for what you paid for it....

 

Did he give you feedback yet? If he did, e-mail him and tell him of problem and if he doesn't do anything about it threaten negative feedback. This usually works especilly when they have good feedback. Most of the time people do the right thing, but there are the psychos out there also. [sm=signs003.gif]

 

Yeah, he had already left me positive feedback, and he just e-mailed me asking what year my truck was so he could try to help me out...his auction clearly stated the intake was for 02-05 Rams, too bad he didn't research it a little better before he listed the thing....

 

if it will fit an 02 5.9L, I would be interested in buying it off of you. Let me know if it won't work on your truck and how much.

It may be possible to just hook up a separate Breather Filter. Looks like a mini K&N filter you can clamp on to the end of the Breather hose. I have one on my Motorcyle. Same principle as the truck. Ask first though. My $ .02

He made an honest mistake... It will mount without issue. Your only problem is going to be the breather hose... you can just go get yourself some 5/8's hose and run to to where you need to to go.

Real simple to make work... I would leave him POSITIVE feedback if EVERYTHING else was as discribed... again I bet he just made an honest mistake. And I think it would be a waste of money on your end to send it back for a refund when it will still work with some 5/8th heater hose and very little effort.
