Default k&N OR FRAM/Purolater AIR FILTERS?

Need some opinions here. What's better using a K&N air filter or a regular paper filter like Fram/Purolater?

A K&N will allow for more airflow, thus more HP, but does let some of the finer dirt particles through. Whether that matters to you or not, is for you to decide. I replaced my air filter with a Purolator air filter at 12K miles.
