Well back here again for some more questions and concerns. as many already know i have an 06 ram slt 1500 with the base stero system (am/fm/cd/sirius) witht he 4 door speakers that is all. well the 4 speakers in the doors are horrible and i need something else. i have a friend that has some boston accoustic speakers i want to put in the dash where the other 3 speakers go. i have the openings and the spots for the 3 extra speakers to go but i do not find any wiringor connectors. does anyone know if they are tucked somewhere from the facotry or would i have to wire in all the new speakers to the old ones some how?? anyone with insight please let me know. Thanks....."madman"

 

There won't be any wires because there were never any speakers there in the first place. I rec you call tech rep at crutchfield.com and tell him what you're trying to do, they'll send exactly what you need. Hey, while you're at it put an amp in there!

 

Boston Acoustic speakers are very nice. Actually, one of my favorites. That is a mighty kind friend of yours if he's giving you the speakers. I agree with the amp. You'll want an amp to power the speakers in the doors, but you might want to upgrade the ones in the doors and put in some dynamat while you're at it.

 

yea Ostedoc he cleared out a building for the "lear" corporation and got a bunch of dash speakers, i beleive he even has them on ebay. thanks for the info if anyone has anymore please let me know
