Could it be a relationship to the horns of the Ram? Just like a sport edition? Sometimes the answer is very simple. Just a guess.

I second this theory about the horns of the ram.

I think they just came up with a name, put some more decals on the truck so people thought it was "special." They had the California Hemi Express edition out here. Nothing more than a 4x2 Ram with a decal on the tailgate. If the vehicle name has SRT anywhere on it, then I'd get excited. All the names they give - Thunderoad, Daytona, Rumble Bee, Big Horn, etc pertain more to aesthetics than any actual performance differences. A Rumble Bee Ram doesn't go any faster than a RC SLT Hemi (the difference being the Rumble bee has different decals, seats, and dash cover).

I just bought an 06 Big Horn edition. After doing a fair bit of research, I think the Big Horn edition boils down to the package on all SLT trucks labled Big Horn. I think we all have the slt package with sliding rear windows, 20 inch crome wheels, Sirius equiped radio, underseat storage, and big horn badge badge. You are right about the $1200 dollar discount. I have seen similarly equipped vehicles without the discount can't for the life of me figure why. I wasn't sure I even liked the Big Horn badge on the doors, but it grows on you and now I do like it. I really like the truck too.

Nope. All trucks with the Hemi (2003-2006) are rated at 345 hp and 375 ft. lbs of torque, whether its an ST, SLT, Laramie, Daytona, Rumble Bee, Thunderoad, California Hemi Express, Big Horn Edition.

Unless it's 3500 series with a Hemi... Then it's rated lower.
